Data Recovery – Contamination – Clean Room Recovery

Data Recovery Issue:

Checked in 2 hard drives that had mechanical issues. One hard drive was powered on for a couple minutes with it clicking.
The other drive, the customer didn’t know it was clicking.
We will diagnose the damage to the drives and see if we can recover the customers data.

Initial Diagnosis:

1st Drive: We opened the drive cover in our Clean Room and although the top visible platter was clean, there was heavy contamination on head 0.
2nd Drive: This drive has contamination on the top platter and also light contamination on the sliders. Looks like this drive has been tortured a bit

Data Recovery Update:

1st Drive: We need to source a donor drive.
2nd Drive: Waiting for customer to approve clean room to proceed.

Clean Room Data Recovery Cost:

If we are able to recover the data, our fee is flat rate $950.00 per drive.
