Data Recovery – Seagate – Spins But Not Recognized

Data Recovery Issue:

Customer checked in a drive and stated that the drive spins and is not being recognized.

Initial Diagnosis:

We connected the drive to our system to start the recovery process, but unfortunately couldn’t get too far. The drive is making a light beeping like sound and the platters are not spinning :(. This is actually a very common issue with this model drive. Usually always happens after a small drop or from being ejected improperly. This job is considered “Stiction” and requires a Clean Room.

Data Recovery Update:

We are waiting for the customers approval to proceed the clean room process for Stiction.

Clean Room Data Recovery Cost:

If we are able to recover the data, our fee for Stiction is flat rate $650.00.

Can’t say enough good things about Five Star Data Recovery. Took my drive in and had the data back within 24 hours.
